Most Popular Room Makeovers
2016 was for sure the year of shiplap and I fully embraced the trend in my One Room Challenge powder room makeover. With my go-to shades of gray and off-white and a little experiment with brass hardware, this room was an instant hit!

My personal favorite (and your second favorite) room makeover was the complete overhaul of our previously unused basement. Once again, this makeover was completed as part of the One Room Challenge. With shades of blue and navy and some rustic elements, this room has quickly become a favorite living space in our home. While in construction mode, we decided to add an adjacent playroom – a space which I have yet to share with you. Watch out in the coming months for the full reveal!

I think we both have a firm favorite with these DIY rustic picture frames. Not only do they add the perfect rustic touch to my living room but they feature adorable pictures of my son :-) These are my favorite DIY of all time and I’m so glad you love them just as much as I do!
As part of the powder room makeover, we installed DIY shiplap using cheap plywood. Not only was this a super cost effective project but it looked amazing when it was done. Almost 9 months later, it has held up perfectly and has quickly become one of the most popular projects on the blog.

Have you guys figured out that I have an insatiable sweet tooth, yet? You may have noticed that the recipes I favor sharing almost always involve sweets. I do like to cook normal food, too but I like to share and photography my desserts the best!
These gingersnap cookies are a firm favorite in the Shaughnessy household and seem to have gone down pretty well with you, too! Make them in sandwich form like above or just as plain cookies – either way, they won’t last long! Get the full recipe by clicking the button below.
These chocolate crinkle cookies are oh-so-festive but just as delicious any time of the year. Omit the candy canes and peppermint in the frosting for a cookie that everyone will enjoy.
Cheers to 2017! May it be the best year yet! :-)
