I don’t usually do tablescapes. I love the idea of them but I don’t have the time nor the inclination to elaborately decorate my table. I have a one year old and this entire setup would be pulled down within 5 minutes if he was left alone with it!
When Wayfair invited me to participate in The Grateful Table, I knew it would be a great opportunity to show you how to pull together a very simple tablescape that looks elegant but won’t cost you an arm & a leg!
Let’s start with my tablecloth. It’s not a tablecloth! It’s leftover fabric from another project. It’s nice heavy material though, so it hangs well.
The gold chargers can be purchased in the dollar store as can a bag of gold pinecones (or paint your own!). I also added my favorite gold flatware, a simple linen napkins and my everyday white plates.
Two tapered candles complete the look.
You don’t want a tall centerpiece here that obstructs your view of your guests. Either keep it short or skinny like I have.
Doesn’t gold cutlery instantly up the class factor?
And that’s it – my simple, cheap, but elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape. Be sure to check out Wayfair for all your Thanksgiving Day essentials.
How will you decorate your table this Thanksgiving? Do you go all out or keep it simple like me?
